I’d tell you how the original script went with Dr. Schtein in solitary but I actually mined that for use later on in the comic. So basically never tell people your ideas ever even if you don’t think you’re gonna use them, because you might!

By “not publicly available” does that mean it’s experimental? Like they’re still in the process of testing them?
Yes, I believe I may have mentioned somewhere that Dr. Schtein was the first human test subject implanted with them by virtue of sudden opportunity.
that’s why they’re not so great IE they only see in grey scale and he’s very sensitive to bright lights, and why they don’t look like human eyes. The natural color of the materials they’re made of is black, and the coating on the outside of them that creates an organic barrier between the eye and the body is clear, but it could easily be made white. They just hadn’t bothered yet. They were going to swap out his eyes with a better pair that was being manufactured but Dr. Schtein, in his cool depression-moping-mode, refused them. He absolutely hates medical doctors and absolutely hates being in hospital like environments, and that probably played a huge part of his refusal even if it would have been for the best.
It’s okay, he feels like an idiot now for refusing them. So now he’s a really huge jerk when the subject of his eyes is brought up at all.
I literally cannot believe some of the amazing guest comics I am getting in the mail so far.
I can’t wait to start running them tomorrow. Gonna have to do some maths to figure out how many times I’ll be updating in the next two weeks, but I’ll say how much tomorrow probably.
